Q. What is Unite for USD?
Unite for USD is an online fundraising event to UNITE all members of the Coyote community – students, partners, staff, faculty, alumni, friends and community leaders - in celebration of USD!
Q. When is #Unite for USD?
Unite for USD is a 24-hour giving challenge starting on February 28 at 12 p.m. and ending on February 29 at 12 p.m.
Q. What is GiveGab/Bonterra?
GiveGab/Bonterra is a nonprofit giving platform that helps nonprofits to raise money, engage donors and manage volunteers quickly and efficiently.
Q. Who can donate?
Anyone! Donating online is a quick and easy way to participate in Unite for USD. Prefer to work directly with our staff? No problem! Give us a call at 800-521-3575 to make your gift over the phone.
Q. Can I participate in #Unite for USD if I did not graduate from the university?
Yes! Students, parents, faculty/staff and friends are invited to participate during Unite for USD. When prompted in the giving form, select the role you affiliate with most closely. Every gift makes a difference and united, we can transform the university experience for every student in a big way.
Q. What forms of donations are accepted?
MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express are accepted on the Unite for USD website. This year we are also able to offer donations via PaypPal and Venmo. Donations via cash or check must be received by the USD Foundation by 12 p.m. on February 29.
Q. Is my gift tax deductible? Will I receive a receipt for tax purposes?
Yes! All gifts made during Unite for USD are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. You will automatically receive an e-receipt acknowledging your gift.
Q. Is there a minimum gift?
There is a $5 minimum donation.
Q. Is my payment secure?
Absolutely! Unite for USD is facilitated by GiveGab/Bonterra, a company who has partnered with Stripe, a PCI Service Provider Level 1 (the most stringent level of certification possible) to process all gifts made through UniteforUSD.org. Read Stripe's security documentation online.
Q. Are there any fees to give to Unite for USD?
You have the option to cover processing fees in addition to your gift if you so choose.
Q. Can I use my employer's matching gifts funds?
Yes! We strongly encourage you to take advantage of your employer's generosity to enhance the impact of your support at USD.
