Helping Hands Fund

Our Story

At the University of South Dakota’s School of Education, we recognize the unique financial challenges that our students face, particularly during their year-long teacher residency and internship programs. Many students struggle to meet the essential expenses—such as gas, rent, and emergency costs—that are crucial to completing their program.

In response, the USD School of Education established the Helping Hands Fund, managed through the Center for Student & Professional Services, to provide up to $300 grants to students in need. Since its inception in 2021, the Helping Hands Fund has offered critical financial support to students, empowering them to focus on their studies and professional development rather than financial stress.

Thanks to the continued generosity of our donors, this fund remains a vital resource for our students. Your contribution, regardless of size, directly helps these students dedicate more time and energy to honing their skills and achieving success in their academic and professional journeys.
